GuestHy there, I have the latest version of this plugin and the latest wordpress version..
But this plugin gives me some trouble…
It isn’t XHTML 1.0 Valid and it makes the RSS Feed not working.
Can something about this be made? maybe an update so that everything will work and be ok ?

KeymasterHello,
The plugin’s output is valid XHTML only. Also this plugin does not alter the RSS. It will be due to other plugins. Try disabling other plugins one by one and check the error.

KeymasterClearly, the problem is not related with Announcer plugin because, it does not use any functions and hooks to alter the post content or RSS content or anyother.. It is due to other plugins only, since this plugin does not produce a error like this.

KeymasterIts not the plugin’s mistake again. In the wordpress announcer’s admin page, change the ID of the box from “1” to some other name ex: “infoBox” etc…
And the other errors are due to the code you have entered in the “Your announcement” box. This plugin does not generate the announcement … it just acts as a frame for your announcements. So it is only due to the “TEXT or HTML” entered in the box. Its upto you to correct the XHTML errors.

GuestYep I have the same problem, so clearly it is an issue with this plugin. It adds the div with the announcement to the RSS feed. If I remove the announcement feed works. With announcement running feed in invalid and I can see the announcement div in the feed, w hich obviously isn’t valid XML and so it breaks.
Here is part of the code from my feed:
.
Code:..

…
So you can see announcer is putting that code into the feed.

Se pare că este un bug la ‘Resetarea Parolei’, în noua versiune de WordPress. Nu avem ce face decât să aşteptăm o rezolvare!

GuestI put only text in the announce text, but also get invalid RSS. Is it possible to have Announcer not add itself to the RSS feed?
