    Hello Team,

We have purchased the plugin and at the time of RSS feed fetch, the google placeholder shows instead of the Featured image of that RSS post. Can you help me with that

Also when we create the google news RSS link from here, then the images are shown and that is the third-party paid provider.

    Looking forward to hear you

    Hi Mandeep,

I have sent an email with a solution for this issue. Please do check and let me know on the same.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi @aakash,

Is the plugin updated as per the last request? Last time you sent one more zip file including the plugin and we uploaded both. Is that feature is added in the latest version or not.

    Thanks

    Hi Mandeep,

Yes, the feature has been added to the latest version. You can upgrade to SRR v5 and uninstall the “MOD” plugin. You can also find the email I sent to you regarding this when the release was published.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Mandeep,

    I’m checking this issue.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Mandeep,

I tried the same URL but do not see any issue. Please see the image below.

Error 503 means service is unavailable. May be the RSS feed server was not available when you tried. If issue persists, please give another RSS feed URL a try too.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Aakash,

Can we hop on the call for quick assistance? At our end it is not working. I am not sure if you are on the same page.

Let me know if you need anything from my side

    Thanks
    Mandeep

    Hi Mandeep,

I just logged in to your site. I noticed that “Debugging mode” was turned on in Super RSS Reader – PRO settings page.

I disabled that now and see the page is loading and RSS feed is displayed as expected.

Please check if the issue is resolved. I wouldn’t be able to join for a call until 11PM IST. We can communicate over email if that is comfortable for you.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi,

I see the error now. As mentioned previously Google reports error 503 which means “server error” on the Google news side.

Or Google is blocking the requests coming from your website. Google can do it it thinks many RSS requests are coming from your site or if there is any abuse.

All other RSS feed works fine.

I’ll check what can be done here.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Mandeep,

I tried looking at this and I’m not sure why Google news RSS feed is gave http error 503 (internal server error). This is something beyond plugin’s control. Not sure if Google is blacklisting your server.

Also, can you confirm if you have placed any PHP code to increase the RSS feed refresh/cache time? May be that frequency is prohibiting Google news to stop serving the RSS feed to your site?

What I have done now is created a proxy for google news RSS feed using feedburner. So the RSS feed URL would be https://feeds.feedburner.com/google/LF5KTaTKj6J. Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Aakash,

We have not added any PHP code to increase the RSS feed refresh/cache time. Please let me know how can we fix that as we need to use google news feeds on this.

    Thanks
    Mandeep
