Installed the updated WP Socializer this morning. Very nicely done! Great new interface, and awesome additions! However, the Google+ button no longer works and the LinkedIn button is not capturing the title of the page. The rest works fine. If I make a custom floating bar, the buttons work as they are supposed to.
Example page:

Why are all the buttons assuming https instead of http? When you click on a button on the stock floating bar, it inserts https into the retrieved URL instead.

Nothing is working correctly ???
I clicked the G+ Retweet, Stumbleupon and all the buttons available. They all show the count, update it to the pages and as you say the https is not included in the URL. Just check the images below.

July 16, 2012 at 3:22 pm #5793AnonymousGuestOK…back to this. I am now using the bar located at the bottom of the page and it has now gone back to using https for Twitter and Google+. What is up with the code? I cannot find anything within your directories to alter how it picks this up in the URL. How can we get this fixed? I no longer want to use the left floating bar.
July 16, 2012 at 3:42 pm #5794Aakash ChakravarthyKeymasterGo to WP Socializer -> Floating share bar and select “Temporarily disable share bar”
Didn’t you see that before ??
July 16, 2012 at 11:11 pm #5795AnonymousGuestI’m sorry, I think I posed that wrong.
I want to use the floating bar, but only the one that sits at the bottom of the page.
i.e., here’s an example: http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/2012/07/16/microsoft-unveils-the-new-office/
However, both the Twitter and Google+ components are attempting to see the URL with https instead of http.
How can we get the buttons to work properly in the bar that sits at the bottom of the page?
July 17, 2012 at 12:25 pm #5799Aakash ChakravarthyKeymasterYou are using the “Bottom fixed mode” and it looks cool in your site.
If the “left float mode” doesn’t work there will a JS error due to other scripts in your site. But now, the “Collapsing and expanding” the share bar works fine. So the left float mode should also work.
Then also, I found some errors in your blog, try to clear it out
Code:duplicate in.js loaded, any parameters will be ignored in.js:5
Uncaught ReferenceError: UA is not defined /myitforumwp/2012/07/16/microsoft-unveils-the-new-office/:683Thank you.
July 17, 2012 at 12:51 pm #5800AnonymousGuestI think we’re still not connecting on this.
The buttons in the “left float” bar work fine. They do not insert a https into the URL. The buttons in the “bottom fixed mode” bar do not work. They insert a https into the captured URL which causes errors when people try to use the URL to connect to the article.
Interesting on the code error. I’ll look into it.
July 17, 2012 at 1:59 pm #5801Aakash ChakravarthyKeymasterGot the problem, but wondering the “https” adds to the site URL. I am using the this plugin in my test site and it is working good. Check that out.

– Did you make any changes to the code ??
– Try using the “Social buttons” in your theme and check whether this happens.
– Is the “left mode” having this problem ??
July 17, 2012 at 2:39 pm #5797AnonymousGuestThe “left mode” is not having the problem – only the “bottom” mode.
I didn’t make any changes to the code at all. Just using it straight as offered in the interface.
July 17, 2012 at 2:40 pm #5798AnonymousGuestOK…so, based on what the buttons I enabled for the bottom mode bar, only Google and Twitter are not working.
July 18, 2012 at 1:35 pm #5796Aakash ChakravarthyKeymasterOk, I found that your using another plugin. Thanks for trying my plugin anyway.
Ill take a look at the bug in depth and improve the plugin.
July 18, 2012 at 1:39 pm #5791AnonymousGuestI’d prefer to use your plugin because of the bottom bar formatting – which is nice. But, I cannot be without the sharing options working, so I’m using another plugin until the issue gets resolved. Once you find a fix, I’ll switch back.
July 18, 2012 at 1:45 pm #5792Aakash ChakravarthyKeymasterWP Socializer is a new plugin with a huge lot of features and customizations. So it will have some bugs. I finding and resolving those then and there.
I still wonder, why that “https” adds only to the “bottom-fixed” mode. I didn’t write a code for that, it uses the ordinary function which the left float bar uses.. Its a strange issue.
Did other pages had this bug ?? Have you enabled “https” anytime before for your site ??
I am finding a suitable platform to test the bug as it occurs only in your case.
Anyway Ill resolve the issue ASAP.
