I love the plugin but if I add 10 buttons to each page it’s sending out 10 do-follow links from every page on my site. Across hundreds of posts, this is a lot of link juice that’s being lost. Is it possible to place the no-follow attribute on outgoing links that the plugin creates?

I don’t mind editing the plugin code if you can just point me in the right direction.

      Thanks.

Nice idea in adding a no-follow attr to the links. But the current version (the very first one) does not support this feature. But you can do a small editing work to make it active.

      Do the following steps

      1. Open the socializer-socialbuttons.php file in the wp-socializer directory.

      2. Goto line no 197

      3. Replace the thing <a href= with <a rel="nofollow" href=

      4. Similarly do this thing in line no 204 also.

      5. Save and upload the file

Thanks! That worked great. Is there anyway to add the nofollow tag to the other links built by the plugin like the facebook like buttons etc?

      Facebook like buttons doesn’t require a no-follow attribute….
