  • in reply to: Custom Blocks are not displayed in Shortcodes

    Hi Philipp,

The shortcode editor must remain in “custom editor”. Please ensure to save the “edit shortcode” page after selecting “custom editor”.

The plugin takes a different route and does extra stuff for the block editor to actually work as expected.

At the end, when you go to “edit shortcode” page you should see “custom editor” being selected and not the “code editor”

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Philipp,

Thanks for using Shortcoder – PRO.

I guess, after designing the shortcode content using the block editor you are “exporting the html” to the editor.

You don’t need to export the block editor HTML. You can simply save the “block editor” launched with shortcoder pro and leave the shortcoder editor to “custom editor” (i.e don’t need to change to code editor)

Can you please try that out and let me know if it helps?

Below video quickly demonstrates how to use block editor with shortcoder – PRO.

    Thanks,

in reply to: Keyword Filter problem

    Hi Mika,

Glad that your found the issue. Temporarily disable this plugin and save the filters meantime. If possible, please report the issue to the plugin author and see if they fix it.

    Thanks,

in reply to: Keyword Filter problem

    Hi Mika,

No worries, I can help you.

Can you please share the full call stack (there should be multiple lines when the widnow is opened) when WP_DEBUG mode is turned on?

This looks similar to the below issue where it was caused by a plugin named “block options”.

Keyword filter in PRO version – critical error

I’m not sure if you are using the same.

Based on the call stack I will help you find out what is causing this issue and suggest a workaround.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

in reply to: Keyword Filter problem

    Hi Mika,

Sure I can help on this. It looks like one of the value enter to the filter is breaking the form.

    1) Does adding a new filter work?
    2) Can you please share the filter with the values you are trying to add? I will try to reproduce the issue on my side.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Netlab,

In the widget box settings page, under the “Location rules” tab, select “On mobile devices alone”

in reply to: After update Shortcoder plugin is broken and unusable

It is possible that restore from backup is the RC of the issue. May be the backup did not persist the administrator user permissions and the plugin assumed the permissions were already set.

I’m marking this thread resolved for now. Please reopen/start new if required.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

in reply to: After update Shortcoder plugin is broken and unusable

    Hi,

Yes it is a weird issue. This is not expected. Good that it is fixed now. Please do recall if any plugin was recently installed related to this to identify the root cause.

    Thanks,

in reply to: HTML Javascript Adder

    Hi there,

Thanks for using HTML javascript adder plugin.

This plugin is now deprecated. You can use an inbuilt widget like “text widget” to insert HTML/JS/CSS. Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi there,

In Shortcoder v6.3 there is no change made related to this permission. It should behave the same as in 6.2.

I guess, there might some timeout behind the scenes while registering the shortcoder permissions for the administrator role.

Can you please install this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/ and check if “administrator” role has all the “xxx_shortcoder” permissions?

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Stahmer,

I browsed random pages on your website and I can see it on all the pages.

Could you please share the page where it is not seen?

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Andrew,

I see the issue. Looks like there is some challenge in parsing the image from the content.

    I’ll check further and update.

    Thanks,

in reply to: Update to Shortcode not reflecting on website.

    Hi James,

That is strange and not possible at all. I’m not sure if we can do a live session considering the random time I work.

Can you please confirm if the correct shortcode is modified and or correct shortcode is expected to be changed in the posts?

May be there is some misread between the shortcode’s “display name” and the “shortcode name”.

If you can share any screenshots, I can identify the problem easily.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

in reply to: Update to Shortcode not reflecting on website.

    Hi James,

If the “page” where the shortcode is inserted is “cached” (using WordPress caching plugins) then the page will not reflect the updated shortcode content.

Please check and share more details along this.

    Thanks,
    Aakash
